This Privacy Policy explains how the “Shake to Wake” application (“the App”) handles user data, device permissions, and advertising services. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting it.
Shake to Wake does not collect personal information such as names, emails, phone numbers, or contacts.
The App does not require user accounts.
The App does not track user behavior beyond its core functionality.
The App does not access contacts, messages, photos, or precise location.
However, the App integrates Google AdMob to display ads. Through AdMob, the following data may be collected and/or shared:
Device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID)
Usage data (e.g., ad impressions and clicks)
Approximate location (derived from IP address)
These data are processed by Google according to its own privacy policies.
The App uses the device’s accelerometer and proximity sensor solely to provide its core functionality:
Detect shake gestures to wake or lock the screen
Determine whether the device is covered or in a pocket
Sensor data:
Is processed locally on the device in real time
Is not recorded, stored, transmitted, or shared
Is never sent to any server
Is not used for tracking, analytics, advertising, or profiling
To ensure reliable operation while the screen is off or the app is in the background, Shake to Wake uses a foreground service.
A persistent notification is always displayed while the service is active
Users can stop the service at any time from within the app
The service is used only for motion sensor monitoring required by the app’s core functionality
If the user enables the Shake to Lock feature, the App may request device administrator permission. This permission is used only to lock the screen when a shake gesture is detected.
The App does not use this permission for monitoring or controlling the device
Users can revoke this permission at any time
The App guides users to disable it before uninstalling
The App may display ads provided by Google AdMob.
Ads are served by Google
Shake to Wake does not have access to personal ad data
Google may collect and process data as described in its own privacy policy

All features can be enabled or disabled manually

Shake to Wake is not directed at children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly collect any data from children.
